MLK, BHO, and JRW

Our deepest apologies to you about not having any pictures. We just aren't in the camera habit. Jackson was here on Monday and Tuesday and it was fun to gave him around. Friday the fam went into the canery to do some canning and buying. It was really foggy on the way in and on the way back. The air has been gross this week and a couple storms are rolling in that hopefully will push it out. We'll try to do something fun this next week and capture in on camera.

Undefeated in Regular Play

Last Thursday our churchball team capped of the 5-0 season with a commanding win over Rose Springs. Everyone of their players had to of been at most 5'5" maybe less. Of course with Glenn as a coach, lack of height and skill of the other team isn't relevant. We had a full court press on them for the first 3 quarters and finally took it off in the 4th. Mainly because we were sucking wind the whole time. At halftime it was 26-3, in the end it was around 46-10. Supposedly we are doing a stake wide tourney, which means we get to play the same teams that we played in the regular season again. Other than that our week was pretty much average. We had Friday off school and we also have Monday off, but we are not doing anything special.

We did finish the closet downstairs, so the guest bedroom is completely finished.

Finally Some Competition

Thursday was the one and only churchball game that we would have to actually play 4 full quarters of serious basketball to win. And that sure is what happened. With 4 seconds left in the first half, we were down by 5. A kid on our team drove the lane and layed it up for two, then he picked off the inbounds and threw up a prayer, it banked of the glass and went in for 3 to tie it up at the half. The second half wasn't as close. Right from the start, we went on a pretty good run and the other team could never come back. We ended up winning 46-38, it was a really fun game and it was fun to get some competition.

As for the other days of the week. On Monday we watched the fiesta bowl, Thursday after our game we watched the nation championship game. The weather has been for the most part nice, we have had a couple of cold days, but other than that it has been in the mid to upper 30's.

Kids Galore

Our house has just been full of kids the past couple of weeks. Right when Troy, Tracie and Brooke left, Jackson, Kate, and Ellie showed up for a 3 day stand. It was mass pandemonium from the start when the kids opened the presents that they got from the Burt party. Once that happened, jealousy sunk deep and the want for each others presents even though they all had the same exact toy was also a result. And so the week began. We went out in the snow with Jackson one day to build a snowman, but the snow was too light to make one. Other than that, we just hung around for the three days.

On New Years Eve, we had a nice game of Quiddler over the web cam with Jer and Kenz, and then went to bed pretty much. We were supposed to have a church ball game on Friday, but the other team didn't show up, so we had a practice instead. Saturday was full of bowl games, basketball games, and wild card games.
