Grantsville Vs. Juan Diego

Last Thursday J.V. had a game at Juan Diego that went alright except for the outcome. We played really well throuhout the whole game but they just got 3 good plays for touchdowns. We on the other hand would march down the field and then couldn't convert. So it was 21-0 at half time and we had a pretty good halftime talk that seemed to get us pumped up because we kicked off and made them fumble and we recovered. So we scored there and made the 2 point conversion. Then we kicked off again and they kept it this time but we made them fumble and got another touchdown and 2 point conversion. So at the end of the 3rd quarter it was 21-16. In the first minute of the 4th quarter we blocked a punt and got a safety on them to make it 21-18. At the last minute of the game they had the ball and fumbled we recovered and returned it for a touchdown. But there was a flag on the play that shouldn't of been thrown because the penalty happened about 30 yards behind our runner. So we lost 21-18. But if you look at the stats we definetly out played them the whole game. The Freshman didn't do as well they lost 33-6 and all I know is that they definetly didn't play well.

School started on Wednesday and I was ready for it to start untill 1st period then I didn't want to be in school anymore. My first period is the worst class on my schedule though and my other classes make up for most of it. I atleast have one freind in all my classes which makes it a lot better. Brett was sick the first 2 days of school with a fever so he sat out the game on Thursday. Hopefully that 1st period will get better but over all it is a pretty good year, and I think it is the same for brett.

Swimming Party

This week kenz, channing, and samara flew in to spend a few days with us. So we thought we would take advantage of the oppurtunity and have jackson over for a swimming party. It was a ton of fun to watch both of them play together in the swimming pool.


Jackson found the hose and does know how to use. He would spray us like crazy untill channing came and stole it from him.
Swimming wasn't the only part of this week, thursday night troy and tracie flew in for a wedding. We didn't see them much on friday or saturday because they had wedding stuff. On friday I went up to Heber City for a Varsity football game verses Wasatch. We ended up losing 37-8, but hey atleast I was on the sideline instead of the stands.

Sunday was when we were all together all day. It was stake conference so everybody came to that. That was fun 2 hours goes by a lot faster with nephews to play with. After stake confrence everybody came to our house for a big lunch. Troy and tracies flight was at 4:15 oh I mean 3:15. So after that we just came back and hung out with shane and heather and did word puzzles for a while. After shane and heather left me, brett, jer, kenz went outside and played football for a little bit and then made our way inside for games. This morning jer and kenz left so now the house is really empty and there is nothing to do again, but atleast it is my last 2 days of bordom then school starts.

2-A-Days week 2: Red White Scrimage

2-a-days ended with a bang friday night with the red white scrimage. For those who don't know what a red white scrimage is, it is where the sophmores play the freshman and then they mix up the sophmores, juniors, and seniors for the "varsity" red white scrimage. The Sophmores are in white and the freshman in red I am number 12 and brett is number 84. The Sophmore team had 15 players while freshman had 25, so lucky for me I got to play both ways the whole game. I had to play tight end because the sophmores don't have one and it actually was the better end of the deal because I have the same blocking assignments as my original position and I was the only one so I was in every play. Sophmores ended up winning 24 to 6

Over all 2-a-days weren't to strenuous but I am glad that they are over we go to afternoon practices now and that means that I don't have to wake up early for a week then school starts.

We have full video coverage of the red white scrimage so anyone that wants to see it is welcome to watch. After the scrimages we had a sleepover on the field, a kid brought a projector and some movies and that is pretty much all we did all night was watch movies. And we all didn't get to sleep untill 5 a.m. and woke up at 7 a.m. because of the sun so I will definetly be going to bed early tonight. I'm way excited for school to start, summer has been way boring except for a few weeks. I have already registered so I know all my classes and I have a pretty hard year but that is good because I won't have a hard year my junior of senior year. It cost $280 for me to go to school but $105 of that was drivers ed. I had a few class changes that I had to do and we had to wait in the counseling office for an hour and a half before I could get in. Almost everyone had a problem with there schedule, I had no 6th period first semester and no 7th period second semester. But know that it is setteled I just have to wait a few more days and I will be back to not being bored ever during the day.

2-A-Days Week 1

This week we started the first of two weeks of 2-A-Days and they were tough but fun. These pictures though are in our backyard we had no sidline footage. And this is the only week that you will see pictures of us in the backyard hitting each other, we will be so tired next week that the thought of going outside with pads won't even come up. This picture is me hitting brett, and I think I can speak for all the brothers that this is the best picture mom has ever taken. Brett didn't get his kicker position suprisingly, he said that the kid that got the position was "insane" at kicking. But to make up for the loss of kicker he is starting free safety on defense and second string wing back on offense, he says that is better than kicker. As for me I won't start unless we have a sophmore team which we most likely won't, so I just do my best at practice so I will get some playing time. Sophmore year at Grantsville is definetly not your best year to shine. But we are all loveing it, and Dad is a little more excited than any of us, especially when we got our pads he was wishing he was out there on the field still.
