Pioneer Week

This week all started Monday with Moms b-day. She told us not to do anything for here, what, yeah so we didn't listen. We invited the family of five from the south to join us for dinner and dessert. After dinner we brought in her present, a new Kitchen Aid. The fancy one with 425 watts and stuff. She was excited, and she didn't even say, ohhh you shouldn't of done this. Then we went over to the house to the south for games and some family videos. We showed Heather her Russian dance on Halloween of '03, and Shanes George Bush impersination from March of '92.
Then on Thursday we went back to Shane and Heathers for Fireworks. It was our first time setting off fire works in like 4 years, honestly, so it was really fun.
Saturday Shane and Heather invited us to go swimming with them. It was also my first time going of a diving board in 4 years. It was fun to dive and stuff. Of course we had a can opener contest, cannonball contest, and a can opener opposite leg. I believe Shane won them all. The girls love the water. Jackson does too, just not with Mom and Dad around.
Then Saturday night we babysat the kids while Shane, Heather, Mom and Dad went to Bajio, Home Depot, Maceys, Coldstone, and probably tons of other places.

Full Week

This week was full of excitment. It all started two fridays ago when I had midnight madness. I wasn't planning on going because of Colorado, but we were finally winning and doing good, so I decided to stay for the whole thing. I got home at 1 in the morning, and I hadn't packed yet. We left at 7 o' clock on Saturday morning to head to Colorado. After driving to Texas, Colorado was a breeze. It was fun over there, we watched a couple movies from Tracies teen years I think. Brett, Troy and I went golfing, we all went mini golfing. Brett tried California roll sushi. We got about 25 free games of basketball at ESPN Zone, we went swimming, that was about it. If you want pictures look at Troy and Tracies blog, they had the camera the whole time.
Brett and I had a football camp on Friday, down at BYU. It was called the Poppinga football experience. I thought there were going to be a ton of people there and stuff. We get there and there is about 45 kids under 12. Then there were 9 of us our age. That ended up being really good because we got to know Casey, Brady, and Kelly Poppinga well, as well as Fui Vakapuna, and Brian Kehl. We went through different stations with different players teaching us, the drills were, pass rush, recieving, running back stuff, and form tackling. At our first station Casey asked who was the fastest here and nobody was raising there hand, so I just figured I might as well be the fastest, so I raised my hand. Brady is a antsy kid, he is really wirey, also very funny. We ran the 40 yard dash, guess who was timing it, yep, Casey, the one that thinks I'm the fastest. I ended up being the fastest though, I ran a 4.9, the fastest I have ever ran. It was a pretty cool camp, it was cool to be right next to all these football players. I overheard Brian and Casey talking about there preseason schedule in the NFL, and I thought, how cool would that be to talk to somebody about your schedule in the NFL.

It's Almost There

The bathroom is now in its final stages. We have to put the sinks in, set the toilet, and a couple little small things than it is done.

Me and Brett just got back from football camp yesterday, it was fun, and sometimes it was boring. Overall it was a good camp and I learned some stuff that will be good once 2- a -days come. Brett got a stinger hitting a 6'10" giant from Alta ( which I hate Alta, and so does everyone else at that camp, no offense Heather). On my chance to shine, it was a sweep, and I am running the motion perfectly, I get the ball and start stumbling, I was saying in my mind, "dang it, dang it, dang it" the whole time I was about to fall, I had so much open grass, luckly a kid hit me so I just didn't just trip on my own. Tonight there is a Midnight Madness 7 on 7 tourney, I will probably go for a little bit, but I need my sleep so we can go to Colorado tommorow.

Last Week of Nothing

Last week ends the streak of us doing nothing. We leave for football camp this afternoon, and that goes untill thursday. Then on Saturday we leave for Colorado to spend a few days with Troy and Tracie. We went to the dentist on Tuesday, that was the highlight of the week pretty much, we went swimming with Jackson on Wednesday. We didn't do anything for July 4th, not even fireworks.
