Memorial California

We spent the weekend out in Clovis, California at Jer and Kenz's house. The fun started right when we got there. Swimming was a big hit in the 90 degree weather, and with a pool in the backyard that was convenient.
On Saturday we took a tour of Jeremy's work at Cargo Bay, did some yard work, and had time trials on the dune buggy. It was a jammed pack day full of fun.

The weekend seemed to be over too fast. Luckily the big family get together is coming up soon.

9 Days Left

Brett and I's high school career at Grantsville is close to being over. There are only a few days left, 9 to be exact. Maybe next year we'll start to learn something besides ways to get extra credit(those ways never have anything to do with the subject of learning). We are looking forward to going to California and then Colorado. There could possibly be pictures next post.

Happy Mothers Day!!

All women deserve recognition on this day. This post is going out to one woman in particular, whose salary if you put a dollar amount on what she did would exceed $100,000. The name that most of us reading this post address her as it Mom. Sadly enough, these addresses usually aren't, thank you mom, I really appreciate this mom, or even I love you mom. More than not it goes something like this, why not mom, that's not even what its like mom, or why would I do that for you mom. This moms heart is full of unselfish love and no matter what you say to her she will always love you and treat you the way you should be treated. One example of her unselfish love would be dinner. Atleast once a week two people will walk into the kitcen to eat dinner. However, only one or even none will eat what has been cooked for them. They will eye the food, then eye the pb&j sandwich, but yet every night there is still a meal on the table. If by some chance the two actually do eat what has been cooked for them, mom won't get a thanks. Most times it goes like this: mom will say, "thanks mom that was good" trying to hint us into saying thanks, the comment that usually follows that is, "thanks pizza that was good." But yet every night there is still dinner on the table every night. There are too many things that us men take for granted and one of them is needing a reminder holiday. Mothers day is a day to recognize the women in our lives, but not a lot should change from your regular day to day routine if you are respecting women. That's usually not the case. Once those 24 hours are over it is back to normal life. This mom deserves so much more than one day of recognition and unconditional love. Her unselfishness defies gravity and never runs out. She loves to see her kids succeed even without getting a thanks for her help. Everyone would be lost without this mom in our lives. There is no more of an influential person than her. She is loved by everyone and especially her family. Happy Mothers day mom. We all love you!!

Pre- Mother's Day Dinner

Yesterday the Maxfields, Burts, and Spanish Fork Wares came out for an early mother's day dinner. We grilled some steaks and did some chatting, nothing too big. The night got cut a little short with a sudden phone call from Jody alerting Patti that she was in labor. Overall it was a nice get together.
